How to Install Custom Camaro Graphics on Your Car

Materials:
Isopropyl
Rubbing alcohol
¼ tsp Dawn dish soap
20 oz water
1 squeegee
1 spray bottle
1 pin
1 microfiber towel

Steps:


  1. Buy a custom car decal.

If it is an exterior decal with application tape, an exterior decal without application tape, or a mustang decklid blackout decal:
Mix ¼ teaspoon of blue Dawn dish soap with 20 ounces of water.
Combine the soap and water with ½ teaspoon of isopropyl alcohol (70% concentration or higher).
Mix the solution.
Pour the solution into a spray bottle.
Set the solution aside.

2. Wet a soft towel (preferably a microfiber towel) with isopropyl or rubbing alcohol.

3. Use the towel to wash all wax and dirt from the car’s surface.

4. Lay the decal face down on a flat surface.

5. Peel off the sticker’s backing.
If it is an exterior decal with application tape:
Spray the wetting solution on the sticky side of the decal.
If it is an exterior decal with application tape, an exterior decal without application tape, or a mustang decklid blackout decal:
Spray the wetting solution on the area of the care where the decal will be placed.

6. Position the decal on the car.

7. Rub a squeegee over the top of the decal.
If it is an exterior decal with application tape or an interior decal:
Wait 3 minutes.
Remove the top protective paper from the decal.
If the vinyl stays, you are finished with this step.
If the vinyl peels off, rub the decal back on and wait 3 more minutes.
If it is a mustang decklid blackout decal:
Wrap the decal around the trunk lid.
Use a hairdryer to heat the decal and make it stick.

8. Check the decal the next day for air bubbles.

9. Pierce air bubbles with a pin.

10. Work out air bubbles with a squeegee.
If it is an exterior decal with application tape, an exterior decal without application tape, or a mustang decklid blackout decal:
Let the decal sit in direct sunlight for 72 hours before waxing or washing.
